Two of this year’s finalists for the BNY Mellon Wealth Management Hockey Humanitarian Award, Yale forward Aleca Hughes and Miami goalie Cody Reichard, have been nominated for the 2012 Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup.

The Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup is named in honor of legendary UCLA basketball coach John Wooden, one of the greatest collegiate coaches of all-time and highly-renowned for his character, conduct and dedication to others.

Each year the Citizenship Cup is presented to two athletes, one collegiate and one professional.

In addition, two of this year’s Humanitarian nominees have been further recognized as Michigan senior goaltender Shawn Hunwick is a top ten finalist for the Hobey Baker Award and Reichard was named this year’s Mike and Marian Ilitch Humanitarian Award recipient in the CCHA.
