Yale women’s coach Joakim Flygh will be a part of the upcoming IIHF Women’s World Championship in Burlington, Vt., Apr. 7-14 as video coach for his native Sweden.

Games are played at both Cairns Arena and Gutterson Field House, with the quarterfinals (Apr. 13 and 15), semifinals (Apr. 13) and bronze/gold medal games (Apr. 14) all taking place at Gutterson.

The U.S. has won the last three world championships, beating Canada each time. Sweden’s best finish was third place in 2005 and 2007.

Flygh just finished his second season as Yale’s head coach.
